Lucette Aldous was born in New Zealand and moved to Australia where she commenced her early dance training.
In 1955 Miss Aldous was awarded the Frances Scully Memorial Scholarship to the Royal Ballet School. Miss Aldous danced with Ballet Rambert and the London Festival Ballet as a Prima Ballerina. Following this, she danced with the Royal Ballet before returning to Australia as a guest artist of the Australian Ballet, dancing the role of Kitri in Rudolf Nureyev's production of Don Quixote. Miss Aldous also danced in the full length film 'The Turning Point'.
Miss Aldous, who has taught at the Australian Ballet School, the Victorian College of the Arts and the WA Academy of Performing Arts is a Patron and an Honorary Member of Cecchetti Ballet Australia Inc.
