Course Information
Suitable for: ages 17+

Pre-requisites: 5+ years of dance experience and teaching or assistant teaching 2 classes a week
​
Study Duration: 1-2 years part-time
This course is designed to be studied alongside the Cecchetti Associate Diploma Part 1 and Part 2 courses over a 2-year period, but can also be studied as a stand-alone course part-time over 1-2 years.
​
Aims: To develop skills in dance teaching practice, including program planning, class delivery, Safe Dance practice, injury prevention and management, classroom management, age-appropriate training, style-specific teaching choreography, and event management. To develop an understanding of current issues in the Dance teaching industry. To develop leadership and management skills in Dance education.
​
Ideal for people with at least 5 years’ Ballet training wanting to pursue a career in Dance teaching, or management of dance programs, with a focus on Classical Ballet.
Course Delivery
Students study 14 units, including 7 core units and a minimum of 7 elective units.

ONLINE AND IN PERSON

Tutorials are delivered in person and via an online video platform.

In-person practical coaching sessions with your home studio teacher-mentor.

In-person or virtual workshops, master classes and seminars.

Self-paced independent study.
Committment
Approximately 6 hours per week as follows:

Full Course Fee is $4,500.00 AUD, payable as follows:

Course deposit: $500 AUD, payable prior to the commencement of the course.

4 instalments of $1,000 AUD every 6 months, final instalment due no later than commencement of the final unit

Single unit fee: $350 AUD
If enrolling in the full course at a later date, the amount already paid for single units will be deducted from the total course fee
Recognition of Prior Learning fee:
Application fee $50 AUD
Processing fee $120-$150 per unit
