THE ART OF TEACHING

The Importance of a Qualified Teacher

Teaching ballet technique and artistry to children is a specialised skill, and it should be entrusted only to properly qualified teachers. Cecchetti Ballet maintains high standards in its teacher training program and offers its members extensive opportunities for continuing professional development.

Cecchetti Ballet provides its teachers with the qualifications necessary to teach both recreational students and the dancers of tomorrow with confidence and skill.

To attain these qualifications, teachers must study child development, anatomy, injury prevention, dance history, and health and safety.

A current first aid certificate and a Working With Children Check or police check are mandatory for Cecchetti Ballet teacher registration.

Cecchetti teachers qualify through a rigorous series of examinations for professional teaching qualifications.

There are four levels, and each one builds knowledge and development of Cecchetti classical ballet technique and principles across all levels of the syllabi.

STATUS LEVELS

1: ASSOCIATE DIPLOMA

2: LICENTIATE

3: LICENTIATE DIPLOMA
